| Overcoming Inner
Blocks
Defined
People are sometimes reluctant to express themselves,
undertake a project or engage with others in friendship formation.
The reluctance
is typically based on inner blocks that cause some kind of paralysis
or procrastination. Some of the blocks encountered are: fear, doubt,
negative projection… that is thinking the other has a negative
attitude or judgment towards oneself; other blocks are: futility,
self defined incompetence and lack of motivation. Overcoming these
blocks often means finding the proper tools to help override the
disinclination to act. Some of these tools consist of role models,
record keeping, short term goals, and public accountability partners,
self contracting.
